This is a leading role with overall responsibility for all of search engine marketing initiatives across multiple lines of business.  Responsibilities cover both the strategy and execution of SEM based on business objectives with a focus on acquisition.  You will lead a team of SEM specialists and direct the media agency.  You will be accountable for sizable media budgets with a focus on innovation and growth.
 
Responsibilities:
CAMPAIGN STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION
  • Ensure all campaigns are on strategy with business goals and targets
  • Define the campaign strategy and deliverables plan that meets or exceeds expectations including research and select keywords, write ad copy and determine landing pages
  • Establish budgets caps and ensure accounts are pacing properly based on pre-determined spend
  • Knowledgeable and able to analyze competitors
 
CAMPAIGN REPORTING RESULTS AND OPTIMIZATIONS
  • Monitor, track and evaluate campaign performance analytics, based on KPI targets and baselines to maximize ROI including optimization of copy and landing pages
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights
  • Effectively interact with search engines to understand their services, capabilities, and operational requirements and importantly for new product testing
 
PAID SEARCH INNOVATION
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, focusing on changes and how to improve overall
  • Foster an environment that encourages risk taking, innovation and creativity
  • Think creatively and develop tools and innovative tactics to improve efficiencies
  • Create POVs, best practices, and key process documentation
Skills/Experience Required:
  • 5 plus years of SEM experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience with Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Web trends, Adobe)
  • Experience with Search Engine Desktop Tools (Google AdWords Editor)
  • Skilled at PPC optimization techniques (ROI / CPA / CPL / Impression Share)
  • Experience with Bid Management tools- including strong knowledge of different types of search engine marketing tactics
  • Direct experience in managing large scale, complex paid search campaigns
  • Experience with 3rd party tracking (Doubleclick & Atlas) - including their limitations
  • Clear technical and analytical mindset- experience working with large sets of data will be advantageous
  • Google Certification (Fundamentals), Analytics and Advanced Certification is a plus
  • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with an eagerness to work as member of a team
