DESCRIPTION:Perform any necessary processes, calibration, preventative maintenance, maintenance of control charts/reports, and safety checks to technical, optical equipment to ensure that all conformance testing is accurate and reliable.

Perform the following Quality Assurance Functions:

• Identify and help troubleshoot adverse trends in shift quality (breakage).
• ·         Verify lenses after Machine Calibrations
• ·         Lens Verification for New Product Introduction
• ·         Perform Special Process Testing for AR Product
• ·         Perform calibrations on Lab Instrumentation
• ·         Provide back-up support to Process Techs on Shift
• ·         Perform Process Audits to ensure compliance.
• ·         Collect and check shift quality records for compliance.

 

GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Quality Assurance Tech is responsible for all functional duties related to the testing and support of shift quality in process and product.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct all necessary processes to test , analyze,  resolve and report process and product performance within the shift and in product set-up. 

EDUCATION:

·         HS diploma or equivalent required

EXPERIENCE:

·         Basic optical knowledge.  ABO certification a plus

·         Good written and verbal communication skills

·         Good working knowledge of Excel and the Windows operating systems

·         Detail and Process Orientated

·         Highly organized

·         Good problem solving skills

·         Good team work
